Tread Lightly Caravan

On Wednesday, everyone in room 8 had to attend an activety. It was like workshops of learning. My favourite workshop was the recycle one because my mum was there. In this photo everyone had to get behind a piece of wood that has promise words, my one said, "Use my own reusable water bottle.

The rusty dusty hideous pencil.
The pencil was cheap looking and a disgrace,
It's saving grace was that it was sharp, very sharp. Sharp enough
to dig into your skin. Pretend drumsticks have made it a musical
instrument creating a creative sound. Disgusting teeth marks
at the bottom of the pencil and disgusting rusty dusty
rotten skin toching my fingers as I hold the rotten rusty dusty pencil.
The bright red pencil is now rusty dusty and old. 
My trusty old instrument still works and it still does the trick!

Certificate

On Friday I got a certificate for Displaying more confidence in learing.

Matarika

On Monday the middle block went to taroa. Everyone in the middle block had to walk, when I started walking my legs were so, so, so, and so tired. When we got there we had to sit in our classes. Then this man was talking, there were silent's. After that we went inside this big room. There were 5 ladies and they  introduced themselves. Then we got into our year groups, I was in the year 5 group.  First we made waves on papers,  after that we did a little dance and then our teacher gave us rocks. Then we painted our rocks, after all of that everyone's group came to the big mat and started to talk about what they did in their groups, first it was the year 4's, then the year 5's and last of all the year 6's. Then everyone went outside to drink their milk and eat their fruit, then we walked back.

Making brownies and cockies on saturday

On saturday at 9:00 pm, some of my sister and I made brownies and cockies. So first we melted the butter, we left the butter in the microwave for 1 minutes. While waiting we put the brownie mixture in a big bowl, then we cracked two eggs into the bowl, then we mixed. After the butter was ready to be put in the bowl, we poured the whole buter in. Next we mixed, it took a long time to mix, after that we to puted the butter on the tray so then the brownie doesen't stick, next we put the un cooked brownies on the tray, then we putted the tray in the oven and started making the cockies, we kind of did the same thing with the brownies but the different thing that we did with the cockies were, we puted 4 eggs in the cockies. After that we puted it in the oven. Now they are ready.

Slime Time!

Today on Friday June the 12 room 8 made slime. Room 8 used Pva Glue, Borax and Food coloring. We poured the glue in first, then mixed it, after that we put little by little tea spoons of borax. Then we mixed the slime again. Next we add the food coloring and put a paper underneth so then the floor didnt get colored.  I colored my slime pink. This is how it looks.

Making toast

On tuesday room 8 made toast with honey. Room 8 could only make 1 toast. Everyone had to take a photo of the bread and honey. The honey that we used was Manuka honey. Mr Sok said that it was the most expensive honey in NZ. The toast taste flavorful and really delicious.
