Task Description:
For this task I have used a google slide to answer a stereotype question. The question was "imagine if you were a female teacher in another country and you got told at your job that you will never be successful at your job as you are Indian or black or any culture that gets stereotyped how would you feel and how would you react?" How would you feel if you got told that?

ReplyDeleteYou have done such an amazing job of imagining what the feelings and emotions might be if you ever went through something like this but I like how you say that you would still carry on and believe in yourself. That's having a positive mind set. Well done.
Well done Angellynah, Unfortunately there are still many places where this scenario is a reality. People facing this situation soemtimes feel they have to be twice as good as others to compensate, i.e. make up for others' prejudice. Being strong and positive in oneself becomes important. I value GTS - and I know many of our students and teachers do - because our diverse identities are seen as valuable. Our school's diversity is most defintely one of our strengths.
